EARLY NEW ENGLAND RYE BASKET-GREAT FORM

Up for your consideration is this gorgeous early rye basket bowl, woven with splints. Early rye baskets are one of the most collected these days, especially unusual ones such as this considering its unusual wide shallow form.

It is 12 1/4" across the rim. An extremely useful size. No repairs & no restoration.

This piece is in excellent condition with a wide canted form and original patina.

I love to actually use this type of basket rather than merely put them on display.

Circa: 1840-1870. New England origin. Out of a dealers private collection.($110)
