Up for sale is this exceptional rarely found original early game board.

It measures 16 1/2 inches x 16 1/2 inches.

The black and bittersweet red colors are very desirable and likely the most appealing combination. It is incised around each square. The back side is what I will call forest green and looks "right". It has a great look! You will find the most useful visual in the lower 2 photographs. I mention this because color, paint..etc.,is extremely speculative.

The wooden framing, though original, has some loss (as shown), however remains a very desirable early primitive. Many times gameboards were made without a frame or it is no longer present, so although this one has a few issues, it is original.

This piece is out of a private collection so the listed price is firm at this time.

Circa 1800's. Pennsylvania origin.($295)
